Senior Structural Inspector

Role Overview

As a Senior Structural Inspector, you will play a key role in Bridgeway Engineering's Contract Administration team, supporting MTO and municipal bridge and highway construction projects. You will oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Inspect bridge and highway construction activities for compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Monitor construction methods, materials, and workmanship.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
• Perform quality assurance inspections and identify deficiencies.
• Track construction progress and prepare inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate daily records of site activities.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3–5 years of site inspection experience, preferably on MTO bridge or highway projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a Senior Inspector role.
• RCCA, RCSI (OACETT), or E.I.T. designation preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation for contract administration purposes.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements through proper collection and handling of material samples.
• Strong working knowledge of MTO Construction Administration And Inspection Specifications (CAIS) Manual, Ontario Provincial Standards Specifications (OPSS), and QA/QC practices.
• Proficiency in Kahua Construction Management System (CMS) is considered a strong asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
• Valid Ontario G or G2 Driver's License.
